Product Description
The Upholstered Office Chair/Zanav Collection is available in a choice of three Amkunj fabric colours. Amkunj fabric has been specially selected for the Upholstered Office Chair, to suit the size and contours of the chair.
Amkunj is a 100% yarn dyed linen fabric which combines functional practicality with a simple yet sophisticated form. Luxurious flax fibre is woven in a basic plain weave, with high warp density. Old, slow paced looms are used for weaving the fabric. This yarn is dyed using Zanav’s signature vat dyeing technique, in which yarns undergo successive plunges in a dye bath, resulting in a singular colour with varying subtle depths. The fabric then undergoes a gentle wash which blends the fibres resulting in a unique aesthetic.
The Upholstered Easy Armchair/Zanav Collection can be ordered in a choice of two wood finishes - Stripped Black (Z3) and Walnut (Z4). Both these finishes have been developed specially by us for the Zanav Collection. The Stripped Black (Z3) finish is achieved by spraying the wood with a water based black paint and then stripping off the black paint using a steel brush and sandpaper until black streaks are left behind only in the grain patterns of the wood. The Walnut (Z4) finish is achieved by hand staining the wood with a water based walnut stain and then hand applying a coat of sealer.
