PH + / Crocodile Collection

PH + is an experimentative platform within Phantom Hands for bringing together design, craft and materials in new and surprising ways. We invite designers and artists to immerse themselves in the craft practices, knowledge and community of Phantom Hands and encourage a more playful, risk-taking approach. The products thus created are meant to open up debate and contrarian points of view.

The Crocodile Chair and Stool by Felix Pfäffli mark the debut collection of PH +. Pfäffli who is a Switzerland-based graphic designer, worked with the basic framework of the iconic mid-century Chandigarh Easy Armchair and Low Cane Stool attributed to Pierre Jeanneret — and re-interpreted it in his signature language of shapes and colours. The outcome is a handcrafted pair of furniture that "only a graphic designer would make".
